Creativity means the use of imagination to create something. Creativity combined with strategy means the use of imagination and understanding of the audience to create something impactful to influence them towards awesome.

As seen in the graph, the usage of the word shot up after the 1950s mainly due to two reasons :

  • Advertising became significant
  • Elvis Presley hit the radio

This onset the era of businesses using creative ways to influence the audience to make a buying decision. The competition was scarce back then, there were not as many businesses in the same niche as there are today but every business wanted to make a mark and capture their audience. Advertising was majorly ruled by big conglomerates, cigarette companies, designer showrooms etc mainly because it was new and only they could afford to take the risk. Anything done was done for the first time, that was the boom of creativity.

Over 60 years, ideas started getting reused in more than one way, there are thousands of businesses in the same niche now, there are more than a dozen channels to interact with the audience, with more than 1/3rd of the world on them continuously posting about their life, there are thousands of agencies across the globe trying to be creative. What I am trying to say is, there is too much clutter, just too much.

Every day you go through so much in your life, your job, your relationships…
